NATIONAL MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUSEUM & AQUARIUM

Prepare to take an entertaining and informative journey as you join our Museum Educators in exploring the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. This adventure offers students the opportunity to learn about the entire length of the Mighty Mississippi, from the plants and animals that call it home to the men and women who live, and have lived, along its shores.

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is now offering many unique ways to experience the Mississippi River at its finest.

The Two-Hour Tour – This exploration experience is a guided tour for the standard rate of $5.00 per student; this rate applies to groups with a minimum of 15 students. The tour includes our five aquariums, the Woodward Riverboat Museum, the Journey Theater, and the Norman Changing Exhibit Gallery. The Two-Hour Tour is scheduled on the hour and half-hour. *One chaperone or teacher is required to accompany each group of 15 students. One chaperone or teacher is admitted free for every 15 students. Additional adults are charged regular admission prices.

The Three-Hour Tour – This extended experience is a guided tour for the rate of $6.00 per student; this rate applies to groups with a minimum of 15 students. Our Three-Hour Tour includes the five aquariums, the Woodward Riverboat Museum, the Journey Theater, the Norman Changing Exhibit Gallery, the Wetlands, and the William M. Black. (Due to any inclement weather the outdoor portion will be substituted with other pre-determined exhibits.) The Three-Hour Tour is available April 1st through October 31st. *One chaperone or teacher is required to accompany each group of 15 students. One chaperone or teacher is admitted free for every 15 students. Additional adults are charged regular admission prices.

Educational Programs
Educational programs in addition to guided tours are available for the standard rate of $1.00 per student. Programs for Pre-Kindergarten through third grade are 30 minutes in length. Programs for fourth through eighth grade are 45 minutes in length.


MATHIAS HAM HOUSE HISTORIC SITE

The standard admission rate for basic school groups (K-12) to the Mathias Ham House is $2.50 per student. This rate is good for a minimum of 15 students, with one chaperone or teacher admitted free for every 15 students. Additional adult chaperones are charged the regular admission price of $4.00.

OLD JAIL MUSEUM

The standard admission rate for basic school groups (K-12) to the Old Jail Museum is $2.50 per student. This rate is good for a minimum of 15 students, with one chaperone or teacher admitted free for every 15 students. Additional adult chaperones are charged the regular admission price of $4.00.

Combination Packages Available!*
Visit two or more of the Dubuque County HIstorical Society sites on the same day and receive a discount. Please ask for rates.

Lunch Available!
Student groups may also bring their sack lunches and eat outside or in the Depot Café.
*Combination lunches available only at Museum & Aquarium.

Discovery Bags
Let students bring a keepsake from the Museum & Aquarium home with them. The Museum & Aquarium gift shop offers Discovery Bags for student groups with a predetermined amount. Ask for details.

Explorer Fund
The Dubuque County Historical Society has rates established for mentally and physically challenged youth. Please call for details.

Reservations/Cancellations
A two week notice is required for all bookings.
A deposit of $75.00 will be required to confirm a booking.
Cancellation fees may apply.
